Pitt’s Best Pizza Places

Pitts Best Pizza

Pizza and college are pretty much synonymous, who could imagine one without the other? Whether you’re ordering takeout to the library or grabbing a late-night slice after a night out, these are some of the best places around Pitt to satisfy your pizza cravings.

Sorrento’s Pizza Roma

Pitt's Best Pizza

233 Atwood St.

Mon-Weds 11AM – 11 PM

Thurs-Fri 11 AM – 3 AM

Sat 4 PM – 3 AM

Located right in the heart of Oakland, this campus favorite is a classic weekend meeting place– and it’s easy to see why. Their super-cheesy thin crust pizza is well worth the line, which goes out the door on busy weekends. Here is a link to their website.

Antoon’s Pizza

Pitt's Best Pizza

247 Atwood St.

Mon-Weds 11AM – 2AM

Thurs-Sat 11AM – 3 AM

Sun 11AM – 11PM

This place can be found on the same block as Sorrento’s– Pitt student’s love to take sides on which is better. Antoon’s has a much smaller venue, but pizzas are often hot and ready for take out once you walk in the door.  You can find Antoon’s here on Yelp.

The Porch

Pitt's Best Pizza

221 Schenley Drive

Mon-Fri 11 AM – 11 PM

Sat 10 AM – 11 PM

Sun 10 AM – 9 PM

Relax at the Porch for a sit down meal with friends, and treat yourself to their artisan pizzas for a upscale twist– the “Bianca” is drizzled with truffle oil. If you’re on a budget, swing by after 9:30 PM on a weekday– pizza is half priced. Here is the Porch’s website.

Larry and Carols

Pitt's Best Pizza

410 Semple St.

Sun-Weds 11 AM – 1:30 AM

Thurs-Sat 11 AM – 2:30 AM

Another casual spot, perfect for your late night pizza fix in the South Oakland area. Try their “Pizza Boats”, a hoagie roll topped with sauce, provolone, and mozzarella. Check out the menu on their website here.

Fuel & Fuddle

Pitt's Best Pizza

212 Oakland Ave

11 AM – 1 AM Everyday

A convenient sit-down location right off of Forbes Ave, only a five-minute walk from campus. These thin crust pizzas are fired in a brick oven, and feature a few fun twists on the old classic — try the “flying buffalo” or the “smashed potato pizza”.  Here is their website.
