Overbrook

Overbrook

Overbrook is one of the southern most neighborhoods in Pittsburgh, on the edge of the city.  It is bordered by the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Brookline and Carrick, and the Pittsburgh suburbs of Castle Shannon and Whitehall.  Originally a borough of Baldwin Township called Fairhaven, it was one of the last boroughs annexed into the city.  The historic community center is still functioning today.

Convenient to Phillips and Brookline parks as well as a large business district on Brownsville Road, Overbrook is also an easy trip to Downtown Pittsburgh through the busway or light rails.  It’s proximity to the City, Station Square as well as shopping areas at South Hills Village make it a quiet and convenient place for young families, which have begun to repopulate the area.
